Kim Jong-un lambasts theme park as he unveils 'master plan' for country's future by jencotin worldnews

I'm not so sure he's as much of a loon as made out to be. He, of course needs to maintain a certain amount of eccentricity but he was well educated in the west. If he has good intentions I'm interested to see them play out. Also, using the American system of government as a seeming benchmark of how a country should be run is not a good idea.

I did not say the amusement park. He used the tour of the amusement park to hold a press conference where he talked about his intentions with the agricultural direction of North Korea. Fixing their agricultural woes and feeding the millions of starving citizens is a priority and that's what he has said. I am by no means trying to gain support or encourage the regime, just stating that it is a step in the right direction.

This article actually shows that he may be moving in the right direction. It seems that he is showing intent to open up North Korea more to the international community and it is very positive for the people of North Korea how intent he is on fixing their constant famine.

What was the strangest game you played with your sibling/friend when you were growing up? by Homeboroin AskReddit

[–]mad_tortoise 1 point2 points ago

For a moment I legitimately thought you were my twin posting! We may have been slightly more hardcore. We played until the other died or whatever, but of course one of us would just screw around flying planes or doing things that can't get you killed which led to a lot of tension, often resulting in severe fist fights. He took a metal pole to me once, I've smashed out his front teeth, he's almost blinded me...

When myself and my brothers were small and used to live in England, as you will see, this game works best there. The world always seems new and unexplored when you are young, sp whenever we went anywhere driving we would inevitably pass an oddly named ub, this is England afterall. My twin or older brother would 'spot' a pub and tell me the name, so whether it be "The Firemans Arms" or "The Rabbit and the Hangman" or what have you. I would then, without hesitation or the restrictions of an adult mind, make up the intricate backstory of how each establishment acquired its name. I don't have anyone spotting pub names anymore, but I still make up those backstories in the recesses of my mind.

Sibot - Live at the Assembly. (Handheld video - but explanation of why this was a great set in comments) by mad_tortoisein electronicmusic

Just after the end of the video both of the synths he was using broke, i'll post a couple more videos here to show how fundamental his synths are to his set. Anyway, so they break, so what now? He says fuck it I'll keep playing, he turns to his double keyboard set-up and would start a beat on one of the keyboards, save the loop, and play it then hit the other keyboard up with the melody, tune and drop of what he wanted from the song. He played for almost another hour like that. Real musicianship. Playing unrecorded electro off two keyboards and making it sound like it was nothing.

Maybe a slight overreaction. by WhatsFonzieLikein videos

Yes, that is true. However, the issue is a bit deeper. I, too, am a South African. The reason this happens is because of socio-economic reasons. We have a poverty rate of over 50% which as is obvious would cause a country with a previous history of violence, revolution and struggle to create a certain atmosphere of violence. The greatest part of this violence happens in the townships... These are not pretty places, like the ghetto's or slums of the sweet U.S.A but far worse and far more conducive to violence. So, look at how dangerous those ghettos are and think about them with millions of people, no running water, no electricity, very few actual built houses in fact almost no ammenities at all... For even the kindest of people these levels of poverty would create tension, sadness and build up to anger. Now, throw in the easy availability of guns, machetes, knobkerries and a severe lack of willing policing in these areas. So, as you would expect given this kind of atmosphere violence will occur, and occur often it does! I would also like to point out that there is a high level of vigilante justice which also does increase the levels. Murder, rape and certain forms of theft all come with the death penalty. Sentences are usually carried out by the elders. I'm starting to ramble now, but there is a lot more to statistics than meets the eye. South Africa is an absolutely beautiful country, with superb and wonderful people. Please, please, please don't judge us on what you read! South Africa is a place that has to be seen and experienced to grasp its true wonder. Thanks.

The god part is as important to some just as it causes indifference to others. Respect others beliefs as you wish yours to be respected, and life will tick on peacefully.

No, wrong, it's further down on the road from the cable car towards Devils Peak.

On the left? Yes, there are spotlights that light up Table Mountain in the summer. On Lions head in the background those are most likely cars as there is a road that runs from below Lions head right to the end of Signal Hill(the outcrop from Lions head.)

What do you do? Cape Town doesn't have close to the number of problems as the rest of South Africa. It is very continental and we welcome everyone to the most beautiful city on earth!
