I ate there today. I got the fried chicken, pork belly, deviled eggs, coleslaw, collards, and potato salad. Awesome food, really good prices. Have to get it to go and you should call in like the article says because the kitchen is small. It only cost like $12 for all that food.

That billboard that he put up saying thank you to philly for all the years was pretty classy... and he really needed to get paid after losing his money in the ponzi scheme. He also found out his daughter had cancer just a few days before the Eagles/Green Bay playoff game in 2010, which may have had something to do with him missing all those chip shots. We should've won that game. Oh well, I love Akers too.

The continental has an amazing menu and really good prices. Their roast pork with broccoletti sub comes on a roll made by the flour garden (same as 8 1/2). Just pointing it out because its amazing.

unfortunately, you pretty much have to do everything the cops tell you. police can pat everyone in the car down if they can reasonably relate it to their safety. i used to tell people just to be cooperative with richmond PD because they were usually too busy to want to bust kids for minor infractions, but these days not so much. never had an interaction with VCU cops, but i've heard stories. when it comes to searching the vehicle and breathalyzers always decline and hope the cops mess up somewhere down the line. if the cops mess up your attorney may be able to suppress their evidence.

I like the concept of having something out of the ordinary that you can see driving down 95. I just personally think it has a dated feel and looks like an amish style prison. While the amish, as far as I know don't have prisons, reasonable people can disagree about whether they would look like this.

You basically have to work for free and relocate if you want a good film internship. So unless you've got a lot of money saved up, or you are just really thrifty and super passionate I'm not sure what to tell you. Try scouring message boards on IMDB and AintItCoolNews to see if there are any movies being shot closer to Richmond and need some free help.

I used to stalk all my favorite writers/directors online and at one point landed an opportunity to work as a PA on There Will Be Blood. I love Paul Thomas Anderson and wanted to jump at the chance, but it required relocating to Texas in the middle of the summer and living in a tent without pay... I think they provided meals. I didn't go. Would've gone for Boogie Nights II.
