Its a blown call, but not comparable to the Lawrie blown call. From the Ump's perspective, it looks like he was totally out. But the reverse angle shows there was no tag.

It sucks for sure, but I guess these things even themselves out over the season. I would be pissed as a Mets fan.

I would be very sad if Wright leaves the Mets. He seems like an honourable guy. I think he'll stay with them until he's 35-36, and then possibly get traded to give the Mets some prospects and his own chance at a playoff run.

Its kind of confusing. His stats don't suggest an immediate regression, normal line drive, Babip and strikeout rates.

However, he is due for a regression in power, a 14.6 HR/FB ratio is not sustainable.

His babip is down because he's been popping out a lot. At least he's making contact (instead of his K rate being high), so I'm willing to hold onto him for a bit longer, especially with his job security.

I think the most realistic scenario is that he comes back to hit around .260, and serve as a member of a 3 man platoon at first and DH between Vlady, EE and Lind. Ever since the Vladdy deal, its starting to seem more and more that this has been the plan since the start of the season (when they first offered a deal to Vladdy apparently).
