Something else is using up the bandwidth. Maybe an updater or something? Look around and make sure nothing else is running. Since it's a mac you're going to have to dig super deep to make sure nothing is using that speed.

Pretty easy to tell is a railroad is in use or not. It the top of the rails are brown or red, then the railroad is abandoned. If they're shiny and silver, then expect to get run over.

There's some old TV show called "Connections" that was aired back in the 90s by the BBC.

All it was was a British scientist-guy walking towards the camera in different locations and talking about science and history with flashbacks and mini-scenes cut in. And all he'd do was talk about how we went from... say.. (oh bother I have to go look one up because it's so crazy) trade to nuclear weapons. And he connects the two in just under an hour. I usually wound up watching an episode with my full attention, but still going "wtf" at the end.

Fucking Merriwether. I think she just takes for granted that this is supposed to be a children's show.

I know it sounds totally biased, but whenever I was really disappointed with an episode, the credits would flash by and, sure enough, there was her name.

Maybe it's just the fact that she's new to season 2 and all the other writers know what's up. Or she writes the pony stories at night after she comes home drunk from parties.

Also Charolette Fullerton. I didn't really enjoy her episodes either. Maybe she goes to the parties with MW or they're roommates or something.
