The remaining foot print would also be dependent on what materials they would have used. Most ancient civilizations like Greece, Rome, and Egypt used stone to build with which is why we have such an extensive record of these groups. If they were to use wood as their main building material we wouldn't have nearly as many ruins as we do since wood decays relatively quickly. Just look at Stonehenge and Woodhenge.

I think it would be a terrible move, from what I've read the trade would completely screw up not only the team dynamic, but also the farm system. Players like Krieder and Thomas are going to be the future of this team. The only trade I would like to see is possibly moving Wolski or Woywitka for draft picks or prospects, simply because there isn't any room on the roster right now and they really deserve to be playing.
