yeah most people seem to hate this movie but i always thought it was great. and they filmed a bunch of scenes in the place a used to work. after that there was one chair that they had sawed the legs off of to make it look like edward norton and danny devito are the same height.

In the Loop.

Fairly new. A political satire with fantastically dry British humour.

Upvote because this film is hilarious. It's a spin off of a TV series called The Thick Of It, which is fantastic as well. Malcolm Tucker can swear better than any other character ever.

Seconded. I came here to mention the same flick. I've never shown it to anyone that hasn't loved it. It's quite a cult movie with my friends but we have a lot of Aussies in the group.

Good call! I f'ing love that movie.

Mark Borchardt: "Coven," man, we gotta get this sucker done, though. Seriously. Last night, man, I was so drunk, I was calling Morocco, man. Calling, trying to get to the Hotel Hilton at Tangiers in Casablanca, man. That's, I mean, that's, that's pathetic, man! Is that what you wanna do with your life? Suck down peppermint schnapps and try to call Morocco at two in the morning? That's senseless! But that's what happens, man.

Ya, it's about the only movie by Uwe Boll that is watchable, but only because it's intentionally offensive and over the top. But in that framework it's very entertaining indeed.

  1. "Noises Off" - Michael Caine - Very funny, about the mishaps of a director trying to put together a theatrical farce, solid belly laughs, think Frasier in terms of it's comedic style, large set ups and lots of laughs when everything starts to fall to pieces.

  2. "Brain Donors" - John Tuturro - Basically a re-take on Marx Brothers films. I nearly turned blue first time I saw it I was laughing so hard.

[–]Nater_the_Greater 0 points1 point ago

If you get the chance, see Noises Off on stage. It's a 3 act play, and the set rotates, so that you see the front in act 1 , the back in act 2, and then you watch the play as it falls apart in act 3. Super fun.

And thank you for reminding me of Brain Donors.

Team America World Police is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. See it if you haven't.

Down Periscope

"Cool! Did we hit an iceberg?" "Off the coast of Virginia?"

Arsenic and Old Lace

"Insanity doesn't run in my family. It gallops."

Grandma's Boy

"Looking back, the lion was a bad idea. That's why Dr. Shockla is gonna hook us up with a monkey. I'm gonna teach it taekwondo."

Pootie Tang. My other suggestion is A Fish Called Wanda. If you haven't seen it, or have just seen the cover and thought, "Eugh that looks terrible", but really, it's hysterical. John Cleese and Michael Palin of Monty Python fame teaming up with Jamie Lee Curtis and Kevin Kline. Classic.

I would give a little nod to the Killer Clowns, the part where he gets his bike destroyed is killer.

I was going to say something offensive, but then quickly realized how fast I would be down voted into oblivion.

The movie never came across to me as a comedy. The jokes (even the black comedy) were few and far between.

I haven't seen it but with a movie poster like that I hope it was intended as comedy.
